Gunther defeated Jey Uso on the June 9th edition of WWE Raw to become the World Heavyweight Champion. This came less than two months after the Austrian star lost the belt to ‘The Yeet Master’ at WrestleMania 41. Gunther has been a mainstay of the WWE landscape in recent years. Moreover, he has held a title for nearly 80% of the time he has been on the main roster. He is married to Jinny Sandhu, a former professional wrestler of South-Asian descent. Gunther has been married to Jinny Sandhu since 2023. She was born and raised in London and comes from a family of South-Asian descent. According to some reports, she is of Indian origin. However, according to a Times of India report, her family has roots in Pakistan.

Jinny rose to fame when she won the PROGRESS Women’s Championship on too occasions. This helped bag a contract with WWE NXT UK.

Jinny met Gunther while both of them were wrestling on the independent circuit. Their friendship blossomed into love and they started dating in 2021 before tying the knot shortly thereafter.

Jinny decided to hang up her boots in 2023 after being an active wrestler for just four years. This came after she battled several injuries during her career.

Gunther and Jinny are currently living happily together and have a son.

Gunther and Jey Uso put on a compelling match in the main event of WWE Raw on June 9. Both men tried to choke the other out with a sleeper. Uso’s bruised ribs, which he suffered after a beatdown at the hands of Seth Rollins’ faction, soon came into play. In the dying moments, Gunther applied a sleeper hold to Jey Uso. Rikishi’s son tried to break out of it but eventually passed out, giving ‘The Ring General’ the win.
