NEET UG 2025 exam analysis: The NEET UG 2025 exam was held on Sunday, May 4, 2025. It was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM IST. The exam was held in pen-and-paper mode. Around 22.7 lakh students appeared across 5,453 centres in more than 500 cities. The NEET 2025 question paper had 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

  • PwBD category candidates got one extra hour. Four marks were given for each correct answer. One mark was deducted for every wrong answer. Strict rules were followed, including dress code and entry timing. Entry gates closed at 1:30 PM. 
  • Biology was considered the easiest section but lengthy, focusing on topics such as genetics, molecular biology, inheritance, microbes in human welfare, biotechnology, cell cycle, tissues, and reproductive health.
  • Chemistry was of moderate difficulty, covering organic and inorganic chemistry topics such as concentration terms, Raoult’s law, colligative properties, aldehydes, ketones, and carboxylic acids.
  • Physics was the toughest and most conceptual section, with questions on center of mass, rotational motion, electric charges and fields, electrostatics, and ray optics. Mechanics and modern physics topics were also asked. 

After the exam, the provisional answer key and question paper PDF will be released. The NEET UG 2025 result is expected by June 14, 2025, along with the cut-off and AIQ ranks.
