Bazooka OTT Release Date: This Mammootty’s latest cinematic outing received mixed reviews from both critics and audiences, but is highly anticipated for streaming. Released theatrically on 10th April this year, this Malayalam thriller is now gearing up for its digital debut. According to an Asianet report, Bazooka will be streaming on ZEE5 starting June 5, 2025. An official confirmation is awaited!
Written and directed by Deeno Dennis in his directorial debut, Bazooka is produced by Yoodlee Films and Theatre of Dreams. Other than Mammootty, the actioner also stars Gautham Vasudev Menon, Divya Pillai, Sidharth Bharathan, Iswarya Menon, Dynamite, Sumith Naval, Hakkim Shah, Sneha Ajith, Bhama Arun, Joemon Jyothir, Abin Bino, Zena Shankar, Vasisht Umesh, Binu Pappu, Meenakshi Raveendran and Joe John Chacko among others.
Bazooka follows Sunny Varghese, a young gamer who boards a bus from Kochi to Bengaluru, unknowingly stepping into a dangerous game of cat and mouse. On the journey, he meets John Caesar (Mammootty), a mysterious and intelligent man who reveals a shocking story involving a series of elaborate heists and a psychopathic criminal mastermind. These crimes aren't ordinary but are intricately planned like levels in a video game, with clues and traps left behind that challenge even the most brilliant minds.
As John narrates his connection to these events, it becomes clear that Sunny’s involvement is no coincidence. John, a former forensic expert, is helping ACP Benjamin Joshua (Gautham Vasudev Menon) track down the mastermind behind these crimes, known only through symbolic clues and game references. As they dive deeper, layers of deception unravel, including a mysterious painting and a device called “Bazooka,” both of which hold key secrets to stopping the killer.
The film builds toward a tense showdown where logic, strategy, and courage are tested, blending action and suspense with a tech-driven, mind-game narrative. The lines blur between reality and play, as every move could lead to salvation or death.
